When you click the tab for New Post, over the top right corner of the box for typing in, there are two tabs - one labelled 'Edit HTML' and the other 'Compose'.
You can switch between the two whilst composing the same post, according to what you want to do. Hit 'SAVE NOW' from time to time if concerned about experimenting. Hope this helps.

Have you selected the HTML edit thingy, that's what I have to do.

Yeah, I know about all that. My compose box has changed to just a box in which to write text. No tabs, no nothing.
What browser are you using? I've just posted something with Blogger using Firefox and it was fine.
